  • CFT260956-Tariffs and Energy Uncertainty: What Now, What’s Next?

Overview

Recent developments in U.S. tariff policy and the evolving Middle East oil and energy situation have introduced renewed uncertainty for trade‑dependent businesses. For companies operating across manufacturing, exporting and importing, logistics, and shipping, these developments are increasingly shaping cost structures, supply chain reliability, contractual arrangements, and commercial decision‑making.

This closed‑door session is designed to provide senior business leaders with a clear and timely update on what has changed, what remains uncertain, and how these developments may affect business operations in the near to medium term. The session focuses on situational awareness and implications, rather than prescriptive guidance, to support informed discussions at the board and senior management level.

The programme brings together perspectives from government, banking, trade, and legal experts. DBS will provide a macroeconomic overview, including the potential implications of U.S. tariff developments and oil‑market volatility. PwC will outline practical implications for supply chains and trade operations, while Rajah & Tann will highlight key legal and contractual considerations arising from the current environment. The session will conclude with a Fireside Chat and Q&A with Dr Tan See Leng, allowing participants to raise questions and exchange views.

This session aims to help senior leaders better understand the external operating environment, identify key issues to monitor, and support internal decision‑making as businesses navigate ongoing uncertainty in global trade and energy markets.

Registration begins at 2:00 PM.
