In the business world, change may be inevitable, but growth is not. As the external environment and the industry evolves over time, it becomes necessary for organisations to revisit their growth plans and the critical success factors required to achieve longer-term growth. Dynamic capabilities in terms of sensing and seizing changing opportunities will need to be developed throughout the organisation, to address limitations of current strategic plans.

Business growth depends on the strategies and the actions that an organisation actively pursues to make it happen. The extent to which an organisation implements a market growth strategy depends on its own business goals and objectives. It may plan to grow its business slowly so that a small but manageable market share can be maintained. Alternatively, it may seek an aggressive growth strategy that requires a more flexible organizational structure that can adapt to new markets and rapid growth.

Programme Outline
Regardless of the degree of market growth required to meet organization-specific goals and objectives, the need for a systematic growth plan is fundamental. As such, this one-day programme seeks to offer practical insights into how organisations can develop easy-to-follow steps on planning and implementing a market expansion strategy, taking into environmental pressures such as increased competition or regional economic downswings, related and unrelated diversification into new markets and the necessary internal capabilities to sustain such growth.
