About the Speakers:

Marcel Pang

Marcel Pang is a seasoned professional in the area of customs and trade compliance, and has assisted numerous MNCs and SMEs in navigating complex compliance requirements and ensuring smooth operations in the global markets. He is currently serving as a Deputy Director at Singapore Business Federation.

Prior to joining SBF, he had served in the civil service with Singapore Customs and the Enterprise Singapore for the last 13 years. As part of Singapore Government’s effort to strengthen our reputation as a safe and secure trade hub, he was instrumental in operationalising Advance Export Declaration with minimal impact to businesses’ operations. On the facilitation front, Marcel has also played a critical role in FTA negotiations efforts in ASEAN Trade-In Goods Agreement (ATIGA) as well as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). Notably, he has also supported the digitisation efforts by the Singapore Government through the enabling of the Electronic Origin Data Exchange System (EODES) with China in 2019.

Before joining the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), Poon Wing See accrued significant experience in the logistics sector, specialising in freight forwarding for the last 15 years. At SBF, Wing See plays a pivotal role in helping businesses navigate the complexities of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and advising on trade compliance issues. Her work focuses on assisting businesses in leveraging these agreements to optimise corporate trade strategies. Additionally, Wing See spearheads initiatives aimed at boosting businesses' capabilities in FTA planning, empowering them to fully capitalise on the benefits of FTAs for competitive advantage. Wing See is also one of the trainers for the SBF workshops: Introduction to Free Trade Agreements on the topic in Rules of Origin.
