Overview

Oman, a founding member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) since 1981, is positioning itself as a key player in the Middle East’s economic landscape. Historically centred around its oil and gas industry, Oman is now diversifying its economy, aiming to become a world-class destination for investment and tourism by 2040. With its strategic coastal location, Oman is also a hub for transport and logistics, creating significant opportunities for companies in Infrastructure and Built Environment, Fisheries/Processed Food, and Hospitality.

To support its ambitious goals, the Omani government is set to invest RO 20 billion (USD 50 billion) in key sectors, with 86% to 89% of these investments driven by the private sector. This creates an immense opportunity for Singaporean companies to collaborate and contribute to Oman’s economic transformation.

This business mission is designed to help companies in Infrastructure and Built Environment, Fisheries/Processed Food, and Hospitality explore growth opportunities in Oman. Participants will gain exclusive access to high-level government officials, visit key industrial hubs, and learn from Singaporean businesses that have successfully established themselves in Oman.

Cities We Will Visit:

Muscat:
As Oman’s capital and economic heart, Muscat offers a comprehensive view of the country’s business landscape. Participants will engage with government representatives and industry leaders to discuss Oman’s future and explore investment opportunities.

Manah:
In this strategic location, we will visit two prominent sites operated by Singaporean companies involved in energy and technology. This visit will provide insights into how these companies have successfully navigated the Omani market and established their operations. (Exact company names will be confirmed closer to the date.)
