Core Module - Regional Growth Essentials

Overview / Synopsis

Regional Growth Essentials is a 1-day programme for businesses preparing to expand across ASEAN. It provides a practical foundation for assessing whether a business is ready to grow beyond its home market, covering the key financial, governance and operating considerations that can affect regional expansion.

The programme looks at the fundamentals of the business model, revenue and margin readiness, early warning signs, governance risks and operating-model maturity. Participants will examine the strength and transferability of their business model, assess the financial implications of entering new markets, and identify gaps that may become more difficult to manage as the business grows across multiple markets. This programme also introduces practical frameworks for assessing operating-model readiness, including processes, governance, systems, KPIs and organisational structures. Participants will leave with a clearer view of their current readiness and the areas that need further attention before moving into market-specific expansion planning.

The programme covers:

  • Business Model Readiness — assessing business fundamentals, market positioning, competitive dynamics and the transferability of the business model across ASEAN.
  • Revenue & Margin Readiness — understanding contribution margins, revenue leakage, market-level profitability and the financial impact of regional expansion.
  • Regional Growth Risks — recognising early warning signs, understanding how risks can compound and assessing the business against a five-stage regional growth curve.
  • Governance & Operational Risks — identifying gaps across governance, tax, payroll, systems and operations, including risks arising from fragmented data and coordination across markets.
  • Regional Operating Model — assessing how processes, governance, KPIs, systems and organisational structures should be aligned, including decisions around centralisation and localisation.

ASEAN TRACK - 5 Market Readiness Modules

Overview / Synopsis

The ASEAN Track — Market Readiness Modules is a 5-day programme focused on the practical considerations involved in entering and operating across ASEAN markets. Building on the Regional Growth Essentials core module, it takes participants from assessing regional readiness to understanding the market-specific factors that need to be considered when putting an expansion strategy into practice.

The programme covers the key areas that shape market entry and regional operations, including culture and consumer behaviour, workforce and cross-border teams, market entry and go-to-market strategy, trade and supply chains, taxation and financing, and legal, regulatory and compliance requirements.

Participants will explore how these factors differ across ASEAN markets and how they can affect decisions on where and how to enter, structure and operate a business. The programme also brings these considerations together through practical market entry planning, including the development of a 12-month ASEAN entry plan.
