Overview

The Singapore Business Federation is organizing a Business Mission to Andhra Pradesh, India: Visakhapatnam and Sri City on February 2020 (actual dates TBC). Visakhapatnam, also known as Vizag, is the largest city and the financial capital of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh (AP). Its geographical location is amidst the Eastern Ghats and the cost of the Bay of Bengal. Some focus sectors of Vizag include textiles and apparel, electronics and IT, engineering and life sciences. Sri City or Satyavedu Reserve Infracity Pvt Ltd is an integrated business city (township) located on NH 16 in the AP state. Approximately 55 km north of Chennai, Sri City encompasses a multiproduct Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and a Free Trade and Warehousing Zone (FTWZ).

This trip will include attendance to the Municipalika: 16th International Exhibition and Conference on Smart & Sustainable City Solutions at Bengaluru. This exhibition and conference is an international platform to evolve, evaluate and share policies, strategies, cutting-edge technologies and innovations towards Smart and Sustainable living in cities. This mission aims to gain a first-hand understanding of the market dynamics and emerging sectors and establish useful business and official contacts through SBF’s network of business chambers and associations, economic development agencies as well as professional service multipliers.
