Investment Law In Vietnam (1/2 day workshop)


With Vietnam’s strategic location, proximity to major cities, stable political environment, young and growing working population and competitive labour cost, the Vietnamese economy has been growing rapidly. On top of that, the Vietnamese government has been making strategic steps to attract more foreign investments. The growth and the friendly government policies have undeniably made Vietnam a land of opportunities and the most attractive destination for foreign investors.

Entering into a new market in a foreign country may be daunting but this workshop aims to provide a guide for foreign investors to tap into the Vietnamese market.

Trainer's Profile

Zi Li is a partner in ZICO Law Vietnam. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Zi Li regularly advises on a range of cross border corporate and commercial transactions including joint venture projects, shareholders agreements, takeovers and mergers and foreign investments into Vietnam. Zi Li has extensive experience in advising foreign and local sponsors, lenders, borrowers and issuers in banking transactions, project financing transactions and debt capital markets transactions, both conventional and Islamic.

Zi Li obtained his Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree from the University of Reading, United Kingdom and he was also the recipient of the Tun Hamid Omar Award for the Best Overall Student in the Certificate in Legal Practice in 2011. Following that, he joined Zaid Ibrahim & Co in 2011 as a Trainee Associate and was retained in the Debt Capital Markets & Structured Finance department in 2012. He was made a co-executive partner of ZICO Law Vietnam in 2018.

- Upon registration, you can make payment using credit card via our online payment platform. An auto e-acknowledgement and invoice will be sent to your registered email.
- No cancellation is allowed upon registration but attendance by a replacement delegate from your company is welcomed. Please notify SBF of the change giving at least 3 days’ prior notice to event date to enable logistical arrangements for the replacement to be made.
- Full payment is required with registration and must be received prior the workshop to guarantee your place. Participants will only be admitted if payment/proof of payment has been received prior to the workshop or on event day.
- Participant will still be liable for full payment in the event of no-show on actual day of the workshop.
- SBF reserves the right to cancel or make any adjustments to the workshop.
