Overview

This workshop is an introduction to doing business in Indonesia with a focus on establishment and operation of the business from a regulatory perspective. We will look at procedures to set up and carry out a business in Indonesia, including the institutions involved in each step of the process and the licenses required to run the business. There will be discussions on matters that are applicable to all business sectors in general. 

Course Outline

  • The current regulation which determine the businesses that are open or closed for foreign investment;
  • Indonesian foreign investment limited liability company and permanent establishment as forms of business entity for carrying out a business in Indonesia
  • Procedure to set up a foreign investment limited liability company and permanent establishment in Indonesia
  • Investment by acquiring an existing business
  • Land ownership, employment matters, and other regulatory compliance issues in general

  • be familiar with the differences between the business entities used for investments in Indonesia
  • be aware of the steps and institutions involved in setting up a business

Trainer Profile



Erline Herrmann
Erline joined Adnan Kelana Haryanto & Hermanto (AKHH) as counsel in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in Singapore, London, and another well respected corporate law firm in Jakarta. Her practice areas are corporate/M&A and finance. She advises both foreign investors and Indonesian companies from various business sectors.

Beria Wieke
Wieke is an associate in Adnan Kelana Haryanto & Hermanto (AKHH). Her practice areas are corporate/commercial and M&A. She frequently advises clients across a wide range of industries, particularly oil and gas, shipping, trading and manufacturing.

  • Please create an account for registration if you do not have an existing account with Singapore Business Federation (SBF)
  • Upon registration, please make payment using Credit Card via online payment platform. Auto e-acknowledgement and invoice will be sent to your registered email.
  • No cancellation will be allowed upon registration but attendance by a replacement delegate from your company due to exigency could be facilitated. Please notify SBF of the change with at least 3 working days’ notice prior to event to enable logistical arrangements for the replacement.
  • Payments are required with registration and must be received prior the event to guarantee your place.
  • Participants will only be admitted if payment/proof of payment has been received prior to the event or on event day.
  • You will still be liable for the payment in the event of no-show on actual day of the event.
  • SBF reserves the right to cancel or make any adjustments to the event.
