*RISE* Intro to Business Culture Protocol & Comms with SEA


Overview

This workshop aims to equip participants with an understanding of cultural nuances and the impact of culture on social and business environments in Southeast Asia. This is an interactive session in which participants will identify and discuss cultural barriers to workplace interactions and explore country case studies to assess the cultural norms and business practices in the region.

After the workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Assess the impact of culture on a personal, social and business level
  • Identify common regional cultural nuances (SEA)
  • Discuss cultural barriers to communication at the workplace
  • Understand the basics of Hofstede’s Cultural dimension framework
  • Appreciate the need for a holistic assessment of workplace interactions


Who Should Attend

Manager and senior executives with over two years’ experience who are working at or aspiring towards regional roles.


Trainer Profile

The course will be conducted by Ms. Tripta Singh, the founder of Learnosophy, and education and training start-up developing immersive learning experience that embraces transformative learning. Tripta has diverse facilitation, training and business experience in Asia, primarily in China, India, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. Some of her outstanding projects include the development and implementation of a corporate training programme rolled out for over 3,000 staff in Indonesia for CAS Group – a leading aviation logistics company in Asia. Tripta has successfully launched a wide range of online courses and trained over 4,000 university and young professionals in business communication skills and problem-solving. She is a charismatic trainer known for her articulate delivery and facilitation skills.

  • No cancellation will be allowed upon registration, but attendance by a replacement delegate from your company due to exigency could be facilitated. Please notify SBF of the change with at least 3 working days’ notice prior to the event to enable logistical arrangements for the replacement.
  • Payments are required with registration and must be received prior to the event to guarantee your place.
  • Participants will only be admitted if payment/proof of payment has been received prior to the event or on the event day.
  • You will still be liable for the payment in the event of no-show on the actual day of the event.
  • Singapore Business Federation (SBF) reserves the right to cancel or make any adjustments to the event.
