SBF Foundation Empathy Series 2021

Taking place last Friday of every month from Jan 2021.
You will learn about disabilities, the strengths of people in need or what it takes to create kindness culture in the workplace and others.

Overview

Dementia Friendly Community
Join ADA’s talk as we cover non-medical topics on Dementia. Discover more ways to recognise and assist persons with dementia and refer them to community resources for support.

This talk will also focus on how businesses can be part of this journey to build an inclusive dementia friendly community. Besides being introduced to a three-staged framework, learn what are some of the concrete steps a business can take to be part of this journey to be dementia inclusive.

In the face of rising life expectancy and an aging population, business organizations are key to building an inclusive dementia friendly community.

“Whatever life throws at me, I will keep on fighting.”
-Mr Anjang Rosli, person living with dementia (young onset dementia and Lewy Body dementia). As an advocate for dementia, Anjang actively educates others and helps them understand more about dementia—showing through his courage that despite dementia, he is still a force to be reckoned with.

“I live my life with dignity and pride, despite dementia.”
-Mr Peter Lim, person living with dementia. After being diagnosed with dementia for a decade, he does not allow this condition to define him.
