Overview
This 1-day workshop introduces the concept of sustainability reporting and the reasons why organisations may want to produce a sustainability report even if it may not be mandatory at the moment. Current requirements and impending developments in the local context will be discussed, as well as materiality, stakeholder engagement and various frameworks and standards. Participants will learn how to access the sustainability information that entities are, and will be, required to present, the basis and content of that information and the steps that would be required in order to obtain the information. The GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards will be shared and discussed extensively. Participants will have the opportunity to identify material topics relevant to their industry.
In this workshop, participants will also understand the business drivers for producing a sustainability report, insights into the challenges and opportunities of Sustainability Reporting and the key points to consider when planning a sustainability report.
