This 2-day workshop gives you a practical system to plan, create, and publish short videos with clarity and strategy.
You’ll explore what works across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook — and learn how to design video content that’s not just trendy, but purposeful.

Event Detail
DAY 1 — Strategy First: Message, Format & Plan
1. What Makes Short Video Work (and Why It’s Different Across Platforms)
Start with a clear breakdown of how TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook each shape short video consumption. Understand the behaviors, formats, and expectations unique to each platform — so you can choose where to focus and how to adapt your content accordingly.
2. Content That Serves a Purpose
Explore how different content types serve different goals — from educating and engaging audiences to showcasing products or reinforcing brand values. Whether you’re working on content for yourself or for a brand, this segment helps you connect what you say to why it matters.
3. Format Design: Mapping Out a Short Video That Works
Learn how to plan a short video with a clear opening, message, and close — no matter the subject. You’ll work on one content idea and turn it into a video script or storyboard, ready to produce. The emphasis here is on clarity and structure, not performance or perfection.
4. Planning for Production: Your First Shoot Outline
You’ll learn how to plan and organise a basic short video shoot — using your phone and minimal gear. This includes choosing the right visual approach for your content, whether it involves talking to camera, product shots, voiceover, or simple B-roll footage.
You’ll leave with a filming plan you can confidently execute on Day 2.
DAY 2 — Creation, Editing & Distribution
5. Bring Your Video to Life
With your plan ready, it’s time to turn it into content. You’ll produce one short video — from filming to final cut — with step-by-step support through the process. This session is hands-on and flexible to suit your content style and creative approach.
6. Edit with Ease Using CapCut
Get familiar with CapCut — a powerful, free editing tool that’s simple to use. You’ll learn how to trim, add text, music, transitions and export your video for different platforms. By the end, you’ll have one completed short video ready to post.
7. Smart Posting for Visibility (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, Facebook)
Learn how to publish your content in a way that increases reach and relevance — from captions and hashtags to timing and platform-specific tips. This segment helps you post with confidence, knowing what signals matter for visibility.
8. Create a System That Works for You or Your Team
You’ll wrap up by building a practical content routine — whether you’re managing your own videos or contributing to a brand’s marketing efforts. Learn how to repurpose ideas, build consistency, and simplify planning for ongoing video creation.
