Overview

The TAC Advanced Programme for Exceptional (APEX) Leaders builds on the TAC Fellowship Programme (TFP) to support senior TAC leaders in navigating organisational complexity, driving sectoral impact, and strengthening advocacy capabilities.

The APEX Leaders is a structured, 9-month leadership development journey designed to empower leaders within the TACs and business networks to navigate complexity, drive strategic growth, and build resilient organisations. Delivered through a blend of learning formats—including experiential modules, gamification, leadership dialogues, and project work—the programme is anchored in nine core modules spanning strategic, operational, and advocacy domains.

Course Objectives

  • Enhance Sector Awareness & Collaboration - Strengthen awareness and shared ownership of the TAC sector to amplify its collective voice.
  • Foster a Leadership Community - Build a network of leaders who collaborate across diverse TAC interests to drive synergy and innovation.
  • Develop Leadership Capabilities - Equip participants with the skills to lead, influence, and inspire teams within and beyond their organisations.
  • Enable Agile & Sustainable Change - Provide practical toolkits to navigate and lead change effectively in a dynamic business landscape.
  • Encourage Peer-Driven Solutions - Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration to address organizational challenges through collective insights.

Course Fees

Please note that the course fee is $11,690 (excluding GST). Eligible participants from TACs may receive up to 90% funding support, subject to SBF's eligibility assessment.
With 90% funding support for the APEX programme and 70% funding support for the SID Governance Module, the payable fee per participant is $2,359.10, comprising $1,307 in net course fees and 9% GST on the full course fee of S$11,690.

Heads of Secretariat and TAC staff progressing to more senior leadership roles.

APEX Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, please ensure that both the TAC and nominated participant meet the following eligibility requirements:

TAC Requirements

  • Registered as a Trade Association or Chamber of Commerce under ROS or ACRA.
  • Represents the business interests of trade(s) or industry sector(s) whose members operate in and from Singapore.
  • Has a management committee, board, or council overseeing its activities.
  • Employs at least three full-time salaried staff.

Participant Requirements

  • Singapore Citizen / PR.
  • Full-time employee of the TAC.
  • Heads of Secretariat or TAC staff progressing to more senior leadership roles.
  • Minimum Diploma qualification or equivalent.
  • Not bonded under an existing scholarship or bursary.
  • Not seconded by another organisation or agency to the applicant TAC.
  • At least 2 years of relevant full-time working experience in a TAC.
