Oversea Mission Workshop to Hanoi 2025
Overview
The Singapore Business Federation, supported by Enterprise Singapore, is organizing an Overseas Market Workshop Northern Vietnam – Business Development Potential from 14 – 17 July 2025.
Northern Vietnam is becoming a key hub for the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. With a more affluent consumer market, and a higher disposable income, it offers significant opportunities for Singapore SMEs to develop and escalate their presence into this growing target. This workshop is designed for Singapore SMEs seeking tools, knowledge, and connections to tap into this dynamic market and elevate their business.
To qualify for the government subsidy, participants must meet the eligible criteria and are quired to attend the full program with daily attendance will be recorded.

Course Fee payable (GST not applicable):
(1) SGD 1,180 - SBF Member (Enterprise SG subsidised rate, applicable for Singaporean/SG PR & local SMEs only)
(2) SGD 1,280 - SBF Member (Non-subsidised rate, applicable to non-Singaporean & non-local SMEs)
(3) SGD 1,380 - Non-SBF Member (Enterprise SG subsidised rate, applicable for Singaporean/SG PR & local SMEs only)
(4) SGD 1,450 - Non-SBF Member (Non-subsidised rate, applicable to non-Singaporean & non-local SMEs)
The course fee after government subsidies and is subjected to Enterprise Singapore’s approval. No further reimbursement will be made upon return from the trip. Please note that only Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents from Singapore incorporated companies (Sole proprietors and individuals do not qualify) qualify for the financial support of course fee for this Overseas Market Workshop.
- Airfares, accommodation, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included. These expenses shall be borne by participants.
- Fee is inclusive of lectures, seminars, business meetings, corporate visits, local transport services, and meals stated in programme.
- Maximum of 2 participants (Singaporean/Singapore PR) from eligible companies. 3rd participant from same company is permitted at full price (without subsidies).
- Please book your airfare and hotel accommodations only after receiving SBF invoice, which will confirm your successful registration.
- The invoice will be issued once this OMW has achieved the minimum sign-up rate.
Programme/Agenda
Focusing on Vietnam's FMCG sectors, below highlights of the program.
The program will be conducted in English.
Day 1: participants will depart from Singapore and arrive at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, followed by check-in at Somerset Hoa Binh Hanoi Hotel. The day includes a welcome lunch, introductory remarks, and a Vietnam market overview session by a consultant, concluding with a return to the hotel to end the day.
Day 2: Participants will engage in sharing sessions with YKVN law firm on business setup and importation licenses, and Talentnet HR firm on outsourcing and talent engagement. After a lunch break, they will visit BRG Head Office and BRG Supermarket to explore product demands and price range acceptance, concluding the day back at the hotel.
Day 3: Participants will attend sharing sessions on consumer segmentation and brand market strategy led by Dezan Shira, as well as a discussion with Singapore's Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Jaya Ratnam. A fireside chat with business leaders from both nations will address cultural challenges and practices, followed by networking with the Vietnam Singapore Youth Leaders Network. After lunch, site visits to Vietnam Co-working Space (Toong) and Lotte West Lake Shopping Mall will provide insights into store layouts, product categories, and consumer preferences, before returning to the hotel to conclude the day.
Day 4: Participants will join sharing sessions led by EFEX on B2B and retail fulfilment, and Dr. Yap Wong Weng from YCH SuperPort on shipment logistics and regulatory matters. After lunch, a networking session titled "Supplies" will connect participants with sellers for future sourcing opportunities. The program concludes with a trip round-up led by the SBF Country Head before participants proceed to Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi City) for departure flight to Singapore.
